The whereabouts of Lance Briere, a missing resident of Inuvik, remain a mystery, the RCMP stated in an update on the case on Feb. 27.
"Efforts to locate Briere, including an extensive ground search, have thus far been negative. Inuvik detachment continues to investigate any and all leads on this matter," the RCMP stated in a news release.
The police circulated another photo of Briere and a picture of a tattoo on his left arm in hopes that the identifying characteristics might spur more information from the public.
He was last seen at the Inuvik liquor store on Feb. 8. He was reported to be wearing a green toque, reflective jacket, black ski pants and black boots. He may be in possession of a black Ski-Doo Expedition LE (900 ACE).
The RCMP's previous news release in regards to Briere's status was issued on Feb. 18.
