Another 17-year-old has been arrested along with four other people in an Inuvik crack-cocaine bust.
Inuvik RCMP say they were called to a disturbance at an apartment building on Dec. 8. Upon entering the residence, police officers noticed signs of drug trafficking and began a search.
Five individuals inside the apartment were arrested, including a 17-year-old youth from Surrey, B.C. While police were searching the youth, they allegedly found approximately 40 grams of crack-cocaine on his person.
Police found over $41,000 in cash in the apartment as well as other paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.
RCMP have charged five people with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. Those facing charges are:
Olivia Greenland, 28, of Inuvik
Justin Firth, 35, of Inuvik
Jesus Villanueva, 18, of Edmonton
Jai Nayyar, 19, St. Catherines, ON
An unnamed youth, 17, Surrey, BC
